This Circular arises from the Monetary Policy Committee's (MPC) decision at its meeting held on 25 May 2026, which approved a change in the reserve requirements ratio applicable to the reserve base in domestic currency from 29.00% to 39.00%, while maintaining unchanged the ratio applicable to the reserve base in foreign currency at 29.50%.
