The Banco de Moçambique Museum was inaugurated on May 17, 2023, by the Governor of the Banco de Moçambique, Rogério Lucas Zandamela. The Museum is located on the first floor of the parking building (silo-auto) at the headquarters of the Banco de Moçambique, and spans about 2000 square meters, with spaces architecturally designed for this purpose.

Study, documentation, conservation and dissemination of the historical and artistic collection, and the preservation of institutional memory.
Exhibitions
The Museum is made up of thematic areas that portray the history of Banco de Moçambique, in particular, and the country, in general, and an art gallery whose artistic collection dates back to the 1960s.

Museum Cafeteria
The museum cafeteria is a welcoming space housed in the silo-auto building of the Banco de Moçambique with a wonderful view of the Metical Monument.
The perfect place for a coffee break after visiting the museum.
Open to the public on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 05:00 p.m.

The Museum is open on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
The Museum is closed on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Sundays, and public holidays.
