Banco de Moçambique and the Metical: Two Icons, One Legacy – Celebrating 50 and 45 Years of Milestones.
The Banco de Moçambique officially launched the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the institution and 45th anniversary of the creation of the national currency, the Metical, set to take place on May 17, 2025, and June 16, 2025, respectively.
These celebrations are poised to include various scientific, cultural, social and recreational activities, such as symposia, lectures, scientific conferences, a journalism contest, national and international sports programs, as well as social events.
